The three questions to ask of every figure
| Ask | What to look for |

| Did it turn? | Note the angle and direction — 90° clockwise, 180°, etc. |
| Did it flip? | A flip reverses handedness; a turn does not |
| Did anything change count? | Lines, dots or sides added/removed at each step |
