• Prithviraj Chauhan III — fought the Battles of Tarain (1191 win; 1192 loss to Muhammad Ghori).
• Rana Kumbha (Mewar) — built the Kumbhalgarh fort and the Vijay Stambh (Tower of Victory) at Chittor.
• Rana Sanga — fought Babur at Khanwa (1527).
• Maharana Pratap — fought Akbar's forces at the Battle of Haldighati (1576); symbol of Rajput resistance; horse Chetak.
• Sawai Jai Singh II — founded Jaipur (1727); built Jantar Mantar observatories.
