The RPSC First & Second Grade Teacher recruitment is conducted by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission to fill teaching posts in Rajasthan's government schools. Both grades follow the same broad structure: a common paper testing general awareness and teaching aptitude, plus a subject paper for the discipline you intend to teach.

Which grade should I target?

• Nationality: Indian citizen
• Education: a relevant degree plus B.Ed. (or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification)
• Age: generally 21–40 years, with relaxations for reserved categories as specified in the notification
• Domicile: candidates from outside Rajasthan may apply but are usually considered under the general category for reservation purposes

How marks are awarded

RPSC papers are objective, and a negative-marking rule applies to wrong answers. The exact deduction, the number of questions and the time allowed are set by the notification for each recruitment cycle rather than being fixed forever.
